Bethesda has launched a new podcast designed to help families better understand senior living, long-term care, and what it means to live well in every season of life.
Hosted by Kristin Rucks, the AgeWell Podcast brings together leaders, caregivers, and community members for honest, approachable conversations about aging, care, and community.
In the first episode, Kristin is joined by CEO Michelle Haefner, along with leaders Sam Quam and Troy Pederson, to share the story behind Bethesda—where it started and what continues to guide it today.
Bethesda’s roots go back to its beginnings as the Lutheran Orphan Asylum in Lamberton, grounded in a mission of faith and service. Today, that mission continues through a full range of services—from independent living and assisted living to skilled care, home care, and hospice—all centered on dignity, connection, and quality of life.
“We can talk more about what Bethesda is and what we do,” Kristin shares. That’s exactly the goal of the podcast—to make these conversations easier and more accessible for families navigating important decisions.
Through each episode, listeners will hear real stories, gain insight into the aging journey, and better understand the care and community Bethesda provides.
Episode 1: Who We Are & Why We’re Here is now available.
