Giving Opportunities
This gives you an income tax deduction for the full amount of the gift (assuming no goods or services are received for the gift) in the year that you make the donation. Gifts can be made securely online or over the phone by calling the Foundation Office at (320)262-5604. Checks can be made payable to the Bethesda Foundation and sent to: Bethesda Foundation | 901 Willmar Avenue SE | Willmar, MN 56201. Your gift will be used in areas of greatest need or you may designate a favorite program or service.
If you contribute securities that have appreciated in value and that you have held for more than a year, you will avoid the capital gains tax that is incurred when you sell. You’ll also get a charitable tax deduction for the full market value of the assets, regardless of what you paid for them.
Choice Dollars charitable grant funds can make a world of difference to Bethesda as we work together to serve the seniors of our community. By directing Choice Dollars, eligible Thrivent members recommend where they feel Thrivent should distribute a portion of its charitable grant funds. Directing Choice Dollars is easy; Simply click here, select “Search organizations” and search Bethesda Foundation of Willmar.

Planned & Legacy Giving
Planned giving is the process of carefully selecting the best methods and assets for making a gift — such as cash, stocks, bonds, real estate, trusts, or bequests — and meeting your long-term financial and philanthropic goals. Such gifts provide an opportunity to support those served by the Bethesda Foundation while benefiting you and your family.
As you consider your options, remember that everything you own may be subject to federal estate tax. Charitable deductions allow you to deduct every dollar you give to charity through an outright bequest. Also, property placed in a charitable trust generally will not be subject to federal estate tax when the donor dies. If you have included a bequest for the Bethesda Foundation in your estate plan, please contact us to let us know. We would like to thank you and recognize you for your gift.
Memorial and Honor Gifts
Donations large and small have allowed Bethesda to enhance the lives of our residents, tenants and clients. A gift made in a loved one’s name is always a meaningful way to mark a special occasion or to remember/honor a beloved family member, respected friend or colleague.
