A Fresh Start: The Grand Reopening of Current Trends Christian Gift Shop at Bethesda

The Current Trends Christian Gift Shop at Bethesda has reopened, bringing a refreshed space, unique gifts, and a renewed purpose to the community. More than just a store, the gift shop supports Bethesda residents through the Residence Life Fund, ensuring every purchase makes a difference.

The grand reopening celebration on September 20th featured a Passing of the Key Ceremony and Blessing, marking this new chapter with a meaningful moment.

What’s New?

Shoppers can now find an array of unique Christian gifts, locally made items, fresh flowers, and homemade cards, creating a warm and inviting space for all who visit. As part of the reopening, guests also enjoyed 10% off fall drinks at Brother’s Bistro with proof of purchase from the gift shop.

A Gift That Gives Back

Beyond offering beautiful gifts, the shop serves a greater purpose. The Bethesda Foundation proudly operates the gift shop, and every purchase supports the Residence Life Fund—enhancing the lives of Bethesda residents in meaningful ways.

Karen Marcus, Bethesda Foundation Board member and volunteer, shared:
“What started as an idea has grown into something so meaningful for our residents, team members, and the community. It’s a passion of mine to bring joy and brighten the daily lives of those at Bethesda, and the gift shop is an important part of that.”

Currently, the shop is raising funds to purchase Christmas gifts for all Bethesda residents across every campus—meaning every purchase made helps spread holiday cheer.
