Bethesda Cupid Crew is bringing warmth, love, and human connection to older adults this Valentine’s Day through a special partnership with Wish of a Lifetime.
For many older adults, Valentine’s Day can be a quiet reminder of isolation. Nearly one in four adults aged 65 and older—equivalent to 50 million Americans—may not receive any contact on this special day. Cupid Crew works to change that by rallying volunteers across the country to deliver roses and heartfelt greetings to brighten the day of older adults.
Participation in this initiative was highly competitive, with no guarantee of selection. That’s why we are deeply grateful to Wish of a Lifetime for choosing our entire Bethesda campus, allowing us to share this meaningful experience with the seniors we serve. Initially awarded 250 roses, we were delighted when the organization, after hearing our appreciation, located an additional 300—bringing the total to 550 roses!
This initiative is a beautiful reminder that even a small act of kindness—like a single rose—can make a lasting impact. We are honored to take part in spreading love and joy this Valentine’s Day and are grateful to Wish of a Lifetime for making it possible.
