Bethesda Day Break Adult Day Services
In the caring tradition of Bethesda, we blend our knowledge of healthcare with our desire to embrace the needs of older adults and people with disabilities in a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment.
Day Break, our adult day-services program, offers a daily alternative for people who require extra support during the day, and provides a respite for caregivers.
Adult Day-Services Include:
- Stimulating activities designed to increase physical strength/endurance and cognitive abilities
- Individualized plan of care
- Safe, secure, and ‘memory friendly’ location
- Community outings and field trips
- Daily group exercise
- Escorted transportation to and from the program available
- Nutritious breakfast, noon meal, and snacks
- Caregiver and family support
- Extended care hours available
Professional Services Available
- Bathing service and hair care
- Medication administration
- Occupational, physical, and speech therapy available through Bethesda At Home
- Access to Club Bethesda wellness center (membership required)
- Nursing staff available
- Memory issue support and education
- Podiatry services
- Health monitoring and education
By integrating socialization and familiar activities, this program is designed to enhance quality of life.
A safe and relaxing environment is provided with an emphasis on care support. This includes health screening and monitoring by consulting nursing staff and an individual plan of care for each participant.
The daily rate includes on-site meals, snacks, and activities. Funding sources might include county-waivered programs, long-term care insurance, and other sources. Dedicated staff assists in exploring available funding options.
